Albert G. Edwards — Managing Director

In 1995, Al Edwards established Corporate Environmental Risk Management (CERM) to apply his broad-based engineering and program management prowess to complex challenges.  He holds a B.S. in Industrial Technology, an M.B.A. in Technology Management, and has hands-on experience in environmental and engineering due diligence, infrastructure and transportation planning, and varied economic development and capital projects initiatives. As the Managing Director of CERM, Al works closely with clients to direct meaningful outcomes for multi-million dollar initiatives, from planning to ongoing program management through construction support and commissioning. He brings considerable expertise and leadership-level experience to set the overall corporate vision and customer-centric culture through the CERM Program Management Model.

Marcus L. Reese — Principal, Remediation & Contracting Group Manager

Marcus L. Reese is the co-founder of CERM. With a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Tuskegee University and over 25 years of experience, Mr. Reese is the CERM Principal managing the day-to-day administrative operations.  He routinely provides strategic, corporate and project planning, and project costing for the firm. On any given day, Marcus oversees CERM’s project implementation guidelines across our varied service disciplines.  He also serves as the manager of the Remediation and Contracting group and vice-chair of the Management Committee. Through his leadership, he has directly scaled CERM’s infrastructure to focus on —

Femi Adesanya, Ph.D — Operations Manager

Femi Adesanya has more than 30 years of experience and serves as CERM’s operations manager. In this role, he provides risk management, quality, contractual, technical and operations leadership to each of CERM's service group managers. Dr. Adesanya's background is wide ranging and includes chemical engineering, mathematical modeling, environmental monitoring and assessment, community mitigation, and program management. He has proven project and operations management skills in various market sectors to include regulatory, transportation, infrastructure, and education. Dr. Adesanya received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University; he's a former college professor and respected author on varying technical and managerial topics such as transportation, and environmental justice. Dr. Adensanya also chairs CERM's Research & Development Committee.

Diometra Aldridge — Director, Corporate Management & Strategic Initiatives

Diometra Aldridge has over 18 years of combined Administrative Management & Human Resource Development experience, with an emphasis over the last 10 years in the area of Civil Design Engineering. As a member of the Executive Management team she has the responsibility of directing all administrative functions in accordance with industry standards, regulatory agencies, as appropriate and working to meet organizational goals through alignment of organizational structure and development of human capital. In addition, she provides direction and has accountability for the successful implementation of strategic planning related processes, practices and outcomes in order to maximize achievement of CERM’s short and long-term business goals. In her role, she is responsible for working with each business group to develop and facilitate avenues to effectively partner strategic initiatives with all operational departments to ensure strong and effective continuous improvement practices are implemented throughout the organization. Diometra holds a BA in Business Management from Georgia State University and a Master’s of Science in Human Resources Management from Troy University. She is also PHR certified.

Kenneth Fluker, PE — Principal Engineer/Engineering Group Manager

Kenneth Fluker, PE serves as the Principal Engineer and Manager of CERM's Engineering group and has more than 25 years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering, geoenvironmental engineering, engineering inspections and construction materials testing quality assurance and control. His field of expertise consists of design of shallow/deep foundations, sheet pile walls, retaining walls, stable slopes and pavements. Mr. Fluker has managed a variety of project categories including single-family and multi-family structures, large retail facilities, heavy industrial facilities, commercial office/warehouse facilities, dock facilities, bridges, parking decks, truck and railroad facilities, levees and embankments, and pavements. He holds both a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from Auburn University.

Terrell Gibbs, Ph.D, PE — Environmental Group Manager

Terrell Gibbs serves as the Manager of CERM's Environmental group and has over 15 years of progressive and diverse experience which encompasses water resources, hazardous materials management and environmental programs.  Specific areas of expertise include water/sewer/stormwater infrastructure design, reservoir site yield analysis, utility operations and management, water and sewer master planning, watershed and source water assessments, and program and project management.  Dr. Gibbs has been responsible for organizational operation and performance improvement for bureaus of up to 400 employees.  Dr. Gibbs holds a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science from Alabama A&M University, a Master's Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from The University of Alabama in Huntsville, and a Doctorate Degree in Applied Management and Decision Sciences/Engineering Management from Walden University.  He is also a registered professional engineer in the States of Georgia and Alabama.

Jerri Sumlin — Manager, Client Services

Jerri Sumlin serves as CERM's Manager of Client Services. In this role, her primary objective is to identify, evaluate and strategically pursue priority business opportunities while providing marketing guidance and implementation. Jerri has twenty years of overall sales experience and ten years' business development experience in the construction industry. Jerri received her B.A. degree in Economics from the University of Georgia and earned her M.B.A. degree in Marketing from Kennesaw State University.
