CERM Inducted into the Atlanta Business League Hall of Fame
CERM was recently inducted into the Atlanta Business League (ABL) Hall of Fame. This prestigious recognition honors businesses that exemplify excellence in leadership, innovation, and a sustained commitment to community and economic development.
Over the past thirty years, CERM has grown to become a leader in the engineering, environmental, and program management industries. With a steadfast focus on delivering quality services and building relationships, CERM has contributed significantly to critical infrastructure and commercial projects across the Southeast.
The firm was founded in 1995 by Albert G. Edwards and the late Marcus L. Reese, who met as teens at a training program hosted by the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers (Mobile District) in Prichard, Al. In Mr. Edwards’ acceptance speech, he said Mr. Reese was: “The man who helped me build the company and who really changed my life as a friend, a business partner and intercessor, a brother in everything except blood.”
ABL’s induction into the Hall of Fame highlights:
- Commitment to Excellence: Three decades of providing innovative solutions in engineering and environmental services.
- Community Impact: A dedication to supporting local workforce development through initiatives like the CERM Job Shadow Program and scholarships for students pursuing STEM careers.
- Diversity and Inclusion: A legacy of empowering underrepresented professionals and businesses in the construction and environmental services sectors.
The Atlanta Business League has been a champion for Black-owned businesses since its founding, making this recognition particularly meaningful for CERM. “This honor reflects not only the success of our business but also the collective efforts of our talented team, trusted clients, and supportive community,” said Terrell Gibbs, CERM’s Chief Operating Officer. “We are deeply grateful to the Atlanta Business League for this recognition and to everyone who has been part of our journey.”
