Project Description
On November 4, 2014, the residents of Cobb County passed a six (6) year SPLOST, which began on January 1, 2016 and ended on December 31, 2021. Approximately $300M of SPLOST funds were allocated to a Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) that focused on infrastructure preservation, pedestrian improvements, safety and operational improvements, and congestion relief.
The Program Management Team (PMT) was awarded a contract for the management of the County’s TIP, which included approximately 200 construction and/or design projects for Roadway Resurfacing, Drainage System Improvements, Bridges and Culverts, Sidewalks, Safety and Operational Improvements for Intersections, Roadways, and School Zones, Thoroughfare and Mobility Improvements, Traffic Management, Traffic Signals and Planning projects. The PMT contract also included Pre-Construction Services, ROW Management/Acquisition/Appraisal Services, and Construction Management.
